Insight Global is seeking a VP of Engineering for one of our clients in the refrigeration industry. Our client specializes in the manufacturing of refrigeration systems and display cases. In this role you will be responsible for defining and implementing the technology innovation agenda and leading the engineering and product development efforts. The role has a wide range of responsibilities from advanced technology development, product design, and value engineer to drive business growth and enhancing our clients competitive advantage. This role is key to ensuring that new products and technologies meet market demands and strategic objectives.

To start, the person in this role will need to collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a robust technology strategy aligned with our clients business objectives. You will manage the research and development as well as the product development projects. Introducing new products, technologies and improving existing technologies and processes for better cost-efficiency and product quality. You will also lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring continuous development, technical expertise and succession planning. The team size is about 60 engineers broken into three different organizations (Systems Engineers, Case Engineers, and New Product Engineers).
Additional roles and responsibilities:
- Establishing key partnerships with academic institutions, suppliers, and global teams to enhance and advance technology capabilities
- Working closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure product design is optimized for manufacturability and market delivery
- Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, technical standards, and safety protocols across all engineering and development processes
- Managing and driving innovative initiatives aligning with our clients business goals
- Financial planning and resource optimization to ensure product and process efficiency
