Description We are in search of a VP of Human Resources to join a team in the Hi Tech Engineering industry, based in Northern, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with Federal and State regulations, assisting with hiring processes, and managing personnel policies and procedures. Responsibilities: • Ensuring all HR operations adhere to Federal and State regulations. • Assisting team managers during the initial hiring phase and overseeing all on-boarding procedures. • Upholding ISO standards within the department. • Administering the setup of new employees in the Payroll system. • Planning and executing employee training programs and initiatives for employee improvement. • Developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures, including the preparation and maintenance of an employee handbook. • Overseeing benefits administration, including health benefits, 401k accounts, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness. • Managing the completion of employee reviews and goal sheets on an annual basis. • Evaluating department decisions and results in accordance to established goals and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services provided. • Handling JPAS, Visit Requests, personnel security inquiries, and e-QIP initiations. • Providing security support and direction to both prime and subcontractor including the development and maintenance of DD254's, security guidance, and classified holdings. • Conducting security pre-screening for potential employees, subcontractors, and consultants. • Initiating, maintaining, and terminating personnel security clearances in government databases. • Analyzing RFP, Contracts / DD245’s and developing security responses and plans. • Assisting staff with completion and submittal of SF85s, SF86s and SCI nominations. • Conducting security indoctrination briefings and debriefings. • Investigating security incidents and violations; preparing reports for DSS and agency to include preventive actions. • Processing visits authorizations, personnel access requests. • Developing and revising security plans, procedures, instructions, performs self-inspections, and maintains continuous control over corporate security program. • Ensuring compliance with company and government requirements.
