The Vice President - Marketing and Communications is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing external market strategies and achieving marketing targets in North America. This individual will partner with the Chief Marketing Officer to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation.
\nThe responsibilities of the Vice President – Marketing & Communications include managing all external corporate and business communications to accurately convey brand image and philosophies. This individual will be primarily focused on marketing efforts within North America and will coordinate with international counterparts for Global brand consistency and awareness building strategies.
\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leads the development of all external marketing plans in North America.
• Ensures the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
• Focuses on growing audiences in multiple channels.
• Reviews and reports on all areas of the marketing strategies and its implementation.
• In partnership with the CMO, helps to develop corporate brand identity in consultation with senior managers, executives, and partners.
• Manages creative agencies and retainer partners.
• Collaborates with senior team members across all departments to uncover insights and create innovative marketing and branding strategies.
• Identifies ways to grow the marketing department and secure resources.
• Coaches and develops employee talent to ensure the curation and retention of specialist skill sets across the Marketing teams.
• Monitors, reviews, and reports on all marketing activities, results, and Return on Investment (ROI).
• Conducts strategic marketing analysis that will help guide marketing messages.
• Through direct report relationship with the Social Media Marketing Manager, oversees social media planning and execution.
• Identifies new or expanded revenue opportunities and strategizes the implementation of plans.
• Conception, development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies, product concepts and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
• Ensures the company marketing goals are communicated across the entire organization and improves the company’s marketing outreach efforts.
• Ensures that all current marketing and copyright regulations comply with accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
• Provides and embeds strong and inspirational leadership to the entire team by demonstrating the company’s values and championing the leadership behavior framework.
• Manages annual marketing budgets.
• Effectively communicates, sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends with the broader team.
• Partners with international counterparts to ensure brand consistency and share learnings.

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related discipline required
• Master’s or PhD degree preferred
• More than 7 years of progressive Marketing related experience, with demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communications
• Experience in the Hospitality/food beverage industry
• Experience with managing direct reports in a corporate setting
• Extensive successful writing and editing experience (externally focused) with a variety of print and online communications media
Language Ability:
Extraordinary verbal and written skills are necessary. The successful candidate/employee will be required to use written, verbal and group communication skills at an expert proficiency level. The ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions and correspondences is necessary. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents.
Math Ability:

Computer Skills:
Exceptional computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and other appropriate software

Physical Demands:
This position may require long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may also be extensive lifting of supplies and materials. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Occasional travel will be required, with business needs dictating >50% in certain periods of time.
