Flex’s fast-growing Critical Power business is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the VP of Product Line Strategy and Business Development. This role will be pivotal in driving our product portfolio expansion, ensuring market share leadership via organic and inorganic growth, and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in P&L management of over $1B, market strategy, pricing, and operational excellence, with a keen focus on sustainability and compliance with industry standards. This industry SME will play a leading role in driving thought leadership for the product line and will work across other Flex business units to position Flex as a leader in the space.
What a typical day looks like:
Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Drive succession planning initiatives to ensure a robust talent pipeline and career development opportunities for team members.Engage in talent hawking to attract and retain top industry talent.2. P&L Management:Oversee the P&L for the product line, ensuring financial targets are met and profitability is maximized.Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to enhance margin and return on sales (ROS).Product Line Strategy & Business Development:Develop and execute a comprehensive product line strategy that aligns with overall business objectives.Identify and pursue opportunities for portfolio expansion, including new product introductions (NPI) and market entry strategies.Mergers & Acquisitions:Lead M&A initiatives to enhance market position and drive growth, including due diligence and integration planning.Market Share Leadership:Establish the company as a market subject matter expert (SME) by analyzing market trends and competitive landscape.Develop strategies to enhance market share and drive customer engagement within the product line and across Flex.Compliance & Industry Standards:Ensure product and customer mix compliance oversight, adhering to NEMA/IEC industry standards.Implement best practices for sustainability and ESG operational strategies.Operational Excellence:Oversee ramps, transfers, and operational projects to ensure efficient execution and alignment with strategic goals.Drive product regionalization strategies to optimize market reach and customer satisfaction.Cultural Development:Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the organization.The experience we’re looking to add to the team:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.10+ years of experience in product line management, business development, or related roles.Proven track record in P&L management and strategic planning.Strong understanding of market dynamics, M&A processes, and industry standards (NEMA/IEC).Experience in sustainability initiatives and ESG strategies.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Hyperscale and Colocation market knowledge preferred.Typically requires at least 7 years of management or supervisory experience.What you'll receive for the great work you provide:
