VP of Sales, Sales & Service

Location:  Dallas, TX (relocation assistance provided, as needed)

The VP of Sales plans, directs, controls, and coordinates the sales of the organization's products and services and the field sales force. Ensures products are sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and sales volume in relation to pre-set marketing and sales standards. Continually evaluates the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and sales plans to meet changing conditions. Responsible for profit and loss result of sales/service functions. Sales volume responsibility is in the range of $110 to $135 million.

Key Responsibilities:

In conjunction with C-B’s executive leadership team; develops, leads and deploys the sales & market strategy for boilers, service and associated products. Assesses, Builds and Develops the sales team in support of established goals. Drives accountability of the sales organization Responsible for meeting sales growth and profitability targets. Effectively manage distribution channel / rep network to deliver results. Assesses, develops, and reports market conditions, competitor intelligence, and economic projections. Identifies the players—customers, representatives, potential partners, influencers to drive market growth. Develops early stage of the market and recommendations and plans for expansion. Uses market research to create deep intimacy with specialized market needs. Work closely with R & D and Marketing to create new products and programs to meet specific market needs. Confers with immediate superior and other sales/marketing executives across all business units in the development of marketing policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes. Expected travel of 50 to 75% to visit various company, representative and customer locations as required. Promotes the products and services at trade shows, etc. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

10 + years in sales and market development, with an industrial equipment background. Extensive experience in selling related service required. Prior experience in burner and / or boiler related industries is highly desirable. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Excellent working proficiency in English is required. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6-18 month time span. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level. Sales experience within an independent sales rep force environment. Experience working with multiple channels to market is desired. History working with CRM applications is desired.

Travel Requirements:  Approximately 50% travel, including visits to customers, other C-B and CBSS locations, as well as attendance at trade shows and similar events.

Physical Skill and Effort:  Limited manual dexterity required.  Work requires infrequent physical effort.

Working Conditions and Hazards:  Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features.  Negligible/little or no exposure.
