Location Qualifications: This role is available for hybrid work (2 days in office) from our offices in London or Ghent.
Position Overview
As the VP of Product, you will serve as a pivotal leader shaping the overarching strategy, vision, and direction of the product organization. You will oversee multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving innovation that anticipates and exceeds market needs. This role involves collaborating with executive leadership to establish company-wide policies, practices, and long-term strategies that position the organization as a market leader.
You will lead the entire Product Management organization, guiding Directors and their teams to success. Reporting directly to the VP of Product and Engineering, you will act as a key contributor to the Executive Leadership Team and provide critical insights that influence organizational strategy and decision-making.
On a daily basis, you will engage with cross-functional executives, senior stakeholders, and key customers, balancing abstract ideas with practical solutions that drive long-term success. You’ll lead and coach the Product leadership team, which consists of 1 Director of Product, Group Product Manager, and Lead Project Manager 3 Product Directors. You’ll regularly attend extended P&T Staff meetings, and interact frequently with Engineering Managers, C-suite executives, GTM leadership and key customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Define and communicate the multi-year product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and market opportunities.
Oversee the development of roadmaps and frameworks that prioritize innovation, growth, and profitability across all product lines.
Partner with executive leadership to influence policy-making and steer long-term corporate strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Build strong relationships with engineering, design, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure cohesive product development and go-to-market execution.
Act as the primary voice of the customer, advocating for solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business outcomes.
Represent the company’s product strategy to key customers, partners, and industry analysts.
Organizational Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team consisting of a Director, Group Product Manager, and Lead Product Manager, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture across the Product Management organization.
Build and scale the team by attracting and developing top talent and promoting professional growth.
Implement processes that improve organizational effectiveness, ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient resource allocation.
Market Insight & Innovation:
Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to guide product differentiation and market leadership.
Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to expand offerings, improve customer outcomes, and create new revenue streams.
Accountability for Outcomes:
Establish and own functional-level OKRs, ensuring the alignment of objectives with broader company goals.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as NPS, churn, customer lifetime value, and product profitability.
Balance strategic investments with short-term operational efficiency to drive sustained company performance.
Required skills & experience
Experience: Proven track record in senior Product Management leadership roles within a B2B SaaS environment. Extensive experience leading multi-functional product organizations and driving long-term strategic outcomes. Demonstrated success in influencing company-wide strategy and delivering measurable business impact. Proven track record for delivering on Key Performance Outcomes in previous roles Assembled a new, or grown an existing team of product managers towards a high-performing level under your purview Experience influencing at the executive and board levels Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex, abstract challenges. Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills Deep understanding of product management practices, market research, customer empathy, and data-driven decision-making. The ability to write clear product specifications, build wireframes, conduct customer interviews and perform market research independently Proven ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams toward shared objectives.
