Job Summary

The Vice President, Roadmap and Program Optimization is responsible for leading the successful execution and optimization of the company’s strategic programs. This role oversees the end-to-end program enablement process, from plotting committed timelines and milestones to resource allocation and system readiness. The VP will work cross-functionally to evaluate the revenue, efficiency, and investment of each project, track weekly progress, and ensure alignment with business goals. This individual will also assess the performance of launched programs against initial expectations, ensuring accountability across the organization and driving continuous improvement.  

Responsibilities

The Vice President will oversee all elements of the strategic program enablement process, including the cross-functional evaluation of weekly progress, the evaluation of program revenue and efficiency, and providing recommendations to executive and senior leadership on the prioritization for all approved strategic initiatives.
Oversee the development and tracking of key project milestones, committed delivery dates, and required resources to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
Coach cross-functional teams to identify and deploy the systems, tools, and infrastructure needed for successful project execution.
Provide feedback and clear visibility to the CTIO and other executive leaders on project timelines, risks, and performance metrics with weekly updates.
Determine prioritization of strategic programs dependent on budget and quarterly KPIs; guide business leadership to drive decisions on changes to program roadmap.
Continuously assess the financial and operation impact of each project, including revenue potential, cost efficiency, and required investment. Utilize data from these analyses to provide informed feedback and recommendations.
Conduct impact analyses for each new incoming project, working closely with business leadership to evaluate tradeoffs, risks, and prioritization.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of portfolio managers.
Lead cross-functional meetings and reviews to ensure that strategic programs are on track and aligned with broader business goals; determine appropriate business trade-offs and navigate difficult negotiation conversations with senior leadership.
Provide recommendations to business leaders real-time regarding program impact, complexity, and return on investment.
Develop an impact analysis framework to guide decision-making and optimal resource allocation across the portfolio.
Analyze performance against initial business expectations, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Drive accountability across the business by establishing a data-driven approach to tracking program outcomes and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Report on detailed performance assessments to the CTIO and Senior Leadership, highlighting successes, challenges, and actionable insights for future programs.

Qualifications 10-15+ years of post-graduate experience in program management, strategic planning, or portfolio management. Master’s in Business Administration from a top ranked institution is highly preferred. Previous experience working in finance, FP&A, or strategic planning office preferred. Prior experience in technology enablement/roadmap development preferred Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional programs with a focus on financial optimization and strategic impact. Strong understanding of program enablement frameworks, financial modeling, and data-driven decision making. Experience working with C-level executives and driving accountability through data and performance metrics. Ability to lead and influence teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00 - $255,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
