Essential Functions
Responsible for establishing current and long-range direction of technology aimed at keeping the organization on the forefront of change. This may include the analysis of purchased systems, hardware and software, or the internal design and development of hardware and software systems. Dispenses technical advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures. Coordinates the design, development, marketing, and maintenance of technology products or product lines. Analyzes new technologies and runs competitive analyses. Promotes the interfacing and control of the organizations present technology and the dissemination of technological information throughout the organization.

Primary Duties

50% Create and develop strategies and tactics to support the following department functions/programs: Infrastructure and Operations including: 

POS e-commerce mobile applications marketing customer service integration  enterprise architecture.  Business Intelligence and Reporting Quality Assurance Enterprise Architecture Project Management Office

30% Lead the identification and analysis of: enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context; the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement; technology, industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise IT strategy. Drive the development of IT strategies for all technology platforms across the enterprise.

20% Promote proper IT process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprises IT and business leaders. Assess and communicate the value of the all relevant organizational processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (i.e. technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, operations, etc.) in a multi-tier environment OR 5 years of experience in business analysis or business strategic planning Familiarity with basic information management practices Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories Ability to translate business needs into EA requirements Ability to estimate the financial impact of EA alternatives

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
