TDS Investment Banking and Research Technology is responsible for building scalable tech to deliver datasets, analytical tools, and workflow automation to front-line bankers and analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical project management expertise and business systems analysis skills, along with a deep understanding of the investment banking industry. This role is critical in driving the successful delivery of technology projects that support and enhance our investment banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement contingency plans as necessary.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
Business Systems Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to validate requirements and obtain approvals.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with senior management, investment bankers, and IT teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Provide regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
Technical Oversight:
Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with the bank's technology standards and architecture.
Coordinate with development teams to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of technical solutions to ensure they meet business needs and performance expectations.
Implement best practices for project management, business analysis, development, and quality assurance.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to succeed.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience (5+ years) as a Technical Project Manager and/or Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the financial services or investment banking industry.Strong understanding of investment banking processes, products, and regulations.Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).Solid technical background with experience in software development, IT infrastructure, and system integration.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing prioritiesThe VP - Technology Solutions TDS is responsible to provide expert advice and counsel in system planning, performance, integration, operations and development.
