LinkedIn is seeking a Vice President to lead our Data Infrastructure organization. This newly established organization is responsible for all aspects of data across LinkedIn, covering five major engineering verticals: Data Processing and Pipelines (DPP), Data Management, Tracking - Telemetry Platform, Unified Metrics Platform (UMP), and DARWIN (Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Workbench at LinkedIn) and Data in Motion.
In this role, you will lead a team of over 400 world-class engineering organization, responsible for developing scalable, high-performance data infrastructure to support real-time data processing, analytics, and our all-in AI initiatives. You will define and implement data strategies spanning stream and batch processing, compute engines, data ingestion, data movement, data management, data lake, ensuring efficient data discovery, cataloging, compliance, and access controls.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the Data Infrastructure organization, overseeing technical excellence and innovation across all aspects of data functions.
Define and execute a comprehensive data strategy for our organization leading to exceptionally high reliability, scalability and efficiency in data management, processing, and analytics.
Inspire, lead, and grow a 400 world-class engineering organization; Hire world class engineering talent and provide technical guidance, career development, and mentorship.
Play a leading role in the planning and execution of ongoing efforts for the organization based on the company’s long-term priorities and strategies to rapidly grow and setting the strategy and roadmap for Data Infrastructure at LinkedIn.
Be a strong advocate for users and partners to enable their success.
Sustain a culture of strong craftsmanship in the work the team does while continuing to display strong execution and a bias for action.
Basic Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
15 years of software engineering management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience sizeable teams, with experience managing through other senior leaders.
Experience in developing large scale distributed systems.
Held VP-level roles at consumer technology companies/ infrastructure companies.
Experience attracting, retaining, and developing top engineering and operations talent throughout the industry.

The pay range for this role is $298,000 to $488,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
