BAT CENTRAL OPERATIONS TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A VRO MANAGER

Reports To: VRO Lead Zone 3

SALARY RANGE: Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits + Market leading bonus

LOCATION: Selangor, Malaysia

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this role is to support the VRO Lead in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Business Services (GBS) at BAT. This role will assist in partnering strategic objectives, analyzing project performance metrics, and identifying areas for process optimization. Additionally, the role will contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across the team and end markets. By providing support to the VRO Lead, this role aims to contribute to the achievement of business value and operational excellence within the GBS domain.

Principal Accountabilities:

Business and Operational

Creates and communicates specific project performance dashboards and insights to Senior Leaders, for detailed analysis on the performance triggers, drives, capacity planning, interdependencies, blockages and complaint management.Ensures that projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; identifies and notifies End Markets of issues affecting the portfolio and recommend and monitor corrective actionSupport project evaluation and scoping through the preparation and review of cost schedules, budgets and forecast returnsDrives for simplified, scalable solutions, including identifying new opportunities to drive improvementsUse statistical modelling and analysis to create scalable reporting and dashboards for operational efficiency and performance monitoring with the opportunity to influence the operational processes and performanceExhibit leadership when engaging with key business through behaviours and attitudes; encourage and drive efficiencies and a positive working cultureCreate and maintain value case in the tool selected Facilitate data input, validation and reporting process for the Program/FunctionsProvide status outlining performance for program metrics, risk and issues that would impact program value, benefits actuals and updated forecastServe as the custodian of the Business Continuity Model within GBS, ensuring adherence to established processes.

Transformation

Spearhead initiatives to improve performance within BAT and across GBS, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) culture initiatives, leveraging appropriate tools and resources for value creation.

Relationship

Collaborate effectively with relevant teams across BAT Enhance relationships and partnering with internal departments (users) as well as external providers Communicates effectively via all channels. Able to tailor messages to various end market groups with minimal inputs/edits

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Experience Required

3-5 years previous experience in working as Project Manager/ Projects Portfolio Manager/ Business Analyst or similar role +3 years Previous experience in handling multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to deliver independently, with limited guidance

Technical/ Functional/ Leadership Skills Required

High Proficiency for Excel and Power BI MS Office applicationsExperience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.Familiarity with process mapping and optimization tools (e.g., Visio, Lean tools)Previous experience in working with Project Management software applicationsAddress barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination

Education/ Qualification/ Certification Required

Degree in an Engineering, Statistics, or Business areasCertifications in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt and above), or similar continuous improvement methodologies are a plus.Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince2)

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities

Organizing and handling workplace related matters for the purposes of preventing labor accidents and occupational disease. Ensuring that the subordinated staff receives training on occupational health and safety related matters and checking how the knowledge is assimilated by employees. Notifying the management of the unit on the occurrence of any labor accident, event or incident across the subordinated staff, of any technical malfunction or any other circumstance involving a risk for injury or occupational disease. Denying access to work to employees undergoing chronic stress conditions, employees who are sick, under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Undertaking and worrking with the provisions of the occupational health and safety legislation and with the implementation measures thereof
