Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Wage & Hour Manager provides specialized leadership and risk mitigation efforts for our Crew Standards team. This role is responsible for ensuring our restaurant systems, processes and training are set up to support our Restaurant Leaders and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage & hour laws. In addition, they are responsible for reviewing internal and external audits and developing and implementing action plans on minor labor laws, meal and rest breaks regulations, and fair work week requirements. Supporting the company’s growth, this role collaborates with cross-functional support teams and restaurant leadership to ensure the company is prepared to mitigate any associated risk.
Job DescriptionServes as a subject matter expert on federal, state, and local regulatory laws, ensuring compliance across all areasPartners with legal on responding to all department of labor audits, gathering facts, communicating findings with leadership, and providing additional training to restaurant leadership, when necessaryReviews restaurant assessment results and recurring internal audits, identifies risks and trends, and proposes action plans, which may include additional training or accountability measures for restaurant leadershipEnsures all scheduling platforms are configured properly, in compliance with the lawReviews the 12-month outlook restaurant opening list, partners with legal to identify any new compliance requirements and implements system updates, policies, and trainingIdentifies additional standards and associated training needed by restaurants and partners with the Training team to create, update, and deliver materials and contentBuilds and maintains strong partnerships with restaurant teams, RSO, and field-based leadershipMaintains knowledge of regulatory changes related to employment-related lawsPerforms other duties and projects as assignedQualifications5+ years of similar human resources, compliance, or leadership experience in a fast-paced work environmentPrior experience with HRIS (Workday preferred), scheduling (HotSchedules and Harri preferred), or BI (Tableau preferred) technology is required Team player with a positive attitude and able to effectively interact and build relationships with management and key stakeholdersDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skillsAble to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaborativelyDemonstrates the ability to handle highly confidential information and maintain strict confidentialityAble to take initiative to improve processes, not settle for the status quo, and work with a sense of purpose and urgencyMicrosoft Proficient: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and WordBachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
