Summary This position is located at The Pershing Community Center on Fort Leonard Wood. Bi-weekly reviews and lists will be sent to management starting 02Jan2025; additional lists may be sent at management request.** Responsibilities Works under close supervision of the banquet supervisor or leader who provides specific instruction for task to be performed. Performance is observed while in progress to ensure compliance with instructions and established procedures. Performs routine duties of servicing banquets. This position is basically waiter work. Involved in setting up and breaking down banquet settings and replenishing beverages. Understanding of food sanitation, beverage handling, and food preparation. Stands, walks, and stoops and stretches, usually for long period of time, handling food and beverage trays and good containers, seldom weighing more than 40 pounds. Work primarily indoors in areas that usually have adequate light and ventilation. Danger of slipping on wet or polished floors. May occasionally work outdoors during seasonal functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the state/local age requirement (18 years) for the serving of alcoholic beverages. No prior training or work experience required. Applicants must be able to follow simple oral and/or written instructions. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
