About the Role & Program

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide! Working across a spectrum of teams that range from creative and conceptual to scientific and technical, we blend an innovative mixture of storytelling, art, science and technology to create immersive experiences, memorable destinations, and innovative entertainment for families around the globe! In this role, you will report to a Manager, Finance.

This internship is a full-time, 3 month commitment in Glendale, CA area from May/June 2025 - August/September 2025.

What You Will Do

The intern will maintain financial reports, monitor and control costs and budgets, track commitments from both internal and 3rd party consultants and contractors, prepare budgets and perform financial sensitivity analysis where appropriate. You will assist in the development and monitoring of key internal controls, and develop working relationships with internal customers and understand their core business.

Maintaining accurate financial information and developing basic financial models for performance and trend analysisIdentifying financial issues and presenting analyses in a format that clearly communicates results for management evaluation and understanding accounting impacts to areas of responsibility that could affect financial performanceInterfacing and building rapport with project /department team members, management, and internal/external customers and promoting financial controls throughout the organization and developing financial analysis to influence decisions and alternatives/proposals for operational improvementsWorking with the project team to establish budgets, costing strategies, and maintain EFC’s (estimated final costs)Setting up and maintaining WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)Providing regular reporting and analysis management (e.g. cash flow analysis and forecasting, completion cost reporting, AOP)

Required Qualifications & SkillsAbility to work in a flexible team environment including functional groups outside of the departmentOrganized individual with initiative willing to take a creative approach and work on assigned projects independently and outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsExperience with creative thinking and fast turnaround productionAbility to develop and interpret financial modelsAbility to handle several projects simultaneously and work with deadlinesProven computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

SAP experience preferredBusiness Intelligence Software (Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) experience preferred

Education.A junior or senior working toward a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship

This internship is a primarily on-site position.

Must be able to provide own housing and reliable transportation for work in the Glendale, CA area, with occasional days in Anaheim, CA.

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $22 per hour.
