Job Summary:

The Warehouse & Sustainability Lead will assist in coordinating the recycling and sustainability efforts for Breckenridge Ski Resort as well as receiving and organizing product for our Mountain Dining outlets. If you have an eye for detail, skill with logistics, and a commitment to zero-waste efforts, come work with us!  

 

Job Specifications:

Housing: May Be Available Outlet:  Maggie, Overlook, Vista Haus, On Mountain Dining Expected Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.99 / hour Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time, Weekends and Holidays   Skill Level: Lead

 

Job Responsibilities:

Assists in receiving and loading product into bins at on-mountain restaurant locations.     Assists delivery drivers in loading and unloading delivery trucks.   Assists in receiving and rotating food and beverage inventory.   Checks product quality regularly to ensure freshness.   Maintains cleanliness of loading areas in accordance with all health codes and company guidelines.   Lead resort Commitment to Zero teams and related initiatives.  Will help drive growth of Vail Resort’s “Commitment to Zero” and raise awareness of sustainability efforts including, but not limited to, waste reduction efforts at resort level through employee education and training where needed.   Coordinate timely recycling pickups from base area locations with appropriate staffing.  Maintain daily organization of recycling staging areas including metal recycling, tire recycling, and miscellaneous products received from operations.  Oversee hauler communications and be the primary contact for waste container needs to support waste streams across all departments.  Provide restaurant loading dock guidance and management for waste streams.  Conduct waste audits of waste sorting stations, loading docks, and landfill dumpsters and compactors.  Be able to demonstrate tactful driving ability where necessary, including forklift operation, after proper training. Lead resort seasonal clean-out efforts.   Must exhibit exceptional guest service to both internal and external guests daily.  Assist in waste sorting in outlet when necessary  Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

1+ years of experience -- required  Must be at least 18 years of age -- required.   Valid driver’s license – required   Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds along with other high physical demands - required.   Must be able to stand for 8+ hours - required.   Must be fluent in English - required.    Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions - required.   Strong environmental ethic -- required  Must be available to work weekends and holidays. - required.   Proficiency using Microsoft office applications – preferred. High school education or equivalent - required.   Able to ski or ride at an intermediate level – preferred.

 

The expected pay range is $23.00 - $25.99. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
