Position Details
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. They prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in staging area. This candidate will also be managing, organizing and retrieving stock. It is mandatory that they have experience operating a forklift.
Responsibilities:
Pack, stock, organize and rearrange products in warehouse.
Keep neat and clean warehouse premises.
Organize and keep records of inventories up to date.
Monitor and manage inventory.
Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products.
Deliver and pickup materials from jobsites.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care.
Drive a company truck, sometimes with a trailer.
Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse.
Integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials.
Overnight market travel required.
Qualifications:
Forklift experience
Ability to lift 50 pounds
High school degree or equivalent
Proficiency in MS Office Products with working knowledge of computer
Valid driver’s license
Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently
Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson’s driving eligibility requirements.
