Warehouse Associate
**Job Title: Warehouse Associate** **Job Description** The Warehouse Associate is responsible for understanding and effectively demonstrating the ability to execute the proper storage of materials, material movement, and housekeeping. This role requires stand up forklift experience. In addition to the base responsibilities, the employee will specialize in either Production Support or Shipping and Receiving. **Responsibilities** + Remove trash, recyclables, deficient materials, and broken pallets out of the warehouse. + Perform housekeeping as per the Master Sanitation Schedule. + Address radio or email requests in a timely manner. + Invert and wrap items. + Communicate with various departments via phone or email. + Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and standard operating procedures. + Operate all heavy equipment and adhere to operating procedures. + Load and offload trailers. + Perform daily or weekly inventory counts. + Perform daily inspection and watering services to heavy equipment batteries. + Perform put-away using a handheld device. + Secure third and fourth tier pallets by re-wrapping or transferring to lower tiers. + Safely store and handle hazardous materials according to OSHA guidelines and procedures. + Perform local daily driving duties and back up the non-local driver. + Complete weekly Behavioral Based Safety inspections and flush the emergency shower and eye station weekly. + Receive and store all incoming materials in the proper warehouse storage areas. + Accurately barcode all incoming raw materials. + Segregate incoming raw materials per material and batch. + Physically load/unload boxes and drums of material (25 kg) onto/from transportation vehicles. + Accurately pull/prepare material for shipping from the pick list and shrink-wrap for safe transport, including cleaning drum lids; attaching shipping labels and checking all lot numbers to ensure proper material and lot numbers are shipped to customers. + Complete daily Shipping and Receiving Inspection form. + Prepare daily order packets for picking. + Print appropriate GHS labels per material number. + Accurately collect and attach shipping documents to outbound orders. + Process daily UPS & FedEx packages in a timely manner. + Send notification and deliver offline packages to designated areas. + Prepare and package hazardous material according to D.O.T standards. + Receipt inbound freight in SAP and stage lots for sampling. + Maintain the inbound Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) log. **Essential Skills** + Clear communication skills – written and verbal. + Detail-oriented and able to read lot numbers. + Ability to follow directions and work with S.O.P.s. + Ability to interact with all levels of personnel professionally. + Ability to work with amino acids, vitamins, and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form. + Ability to work with allergen products. + Team environment and problem-solving skills. + Results-focused and oriented toward team goals. + Flexible hours including overtime and weekends. + Clean DMV record with a valid California driver's license. + Ability to stay positive and calm in difficult circumstances. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. + Experience and ability to be certified to operate a forklift and a motorized pallet jack. + Ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing, and conflicting priorities. + Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive. + Proficiency in spoken and written English. + Computer literate with basic numeracy skills. + Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and other office software. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with shipping, receiving, order pulling, kitting, forklift, reach lift, and inventory control. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a great company culture with room for growth, overtime opportunities, and excellent benefits upon conversion.
