**Job Title: Material Handler Associate** **Job Description** The Material Handler Associate is responsible for packaging products by skid, crate, or box for shipment, processing routine shipping paperwork, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The role supports assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials, and safely disposes of various packaging materials. Additionally, the associate will work with SAP to update storage bin information, identify and locate materials, and complete routine inspections of material handling equipment. **Responsibilities** + Package products by skid, crate, or box for shipment and process routine shipping paperwork. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment by properly and promptly disposing of and storing materials. + Support assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials. + Safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures. + Work with SAP to update storage bin information and identify and locate materials. + Complete routine inspections of material handling equipment. + Operate a turret truck forklift and sit-down forklift to move picked orders from racks to shipping. + Unload and load trucks each day using a forklift. + Take scrap bins to the unloading area and transfer materials into the dumpster. + Visually inspect parts and move them to the receiving parts staging area. + Operate forklift trucks and/or cranes to move materials into and out of assembly work areas. **Essential Skills** + Material handling experience + Shipping and receiving experience + Warehouse distribution knowledge + Packaging and inventory control + Order picking and unloading + Experience with shipping systems and forklift operation + Previous sit-down or stand-up forklift experience + Comfortable with heights and operating very-narrow aisle forklifts (stand-up turret trucks) + Experience with RF scanners, bills of lading, UPS Worldship, and stand-up reach and lift **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous shipping/receiving experience + Experience operating a turret truck forklift + Knowledge of bills of lading and inventory paperwork **Why Work Here?** Our team-oriented culture ensures that you are set up for success from the first day. The entire facility is well-lit, climate-controlled, and well-organized by departments with spacious aisles. The facility includes departments such as NEW PRODUCTION, WIND SERVICE, INDUSTRIAL, and LOGISTICS. Contractors are provided with a company shirt but should wear jeans/pants suitable for a clean yet potentially dirty environment. Safety is a top priority, with mandatory safety glasses and steel toe shoes required onsite.
