**Job Title: Warehouse Associate** **Job Description** Warehouse Associate is responsible for finishing and final inspection of parts and preparation for shipping according to work instructions. **Responsibilities** + Utilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy + Remove slag via air gun and mallet + Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips + Dip parts into rust remover + Oil parts prior to packaging + Conduct final inspection of parts + Band workpieces and prepare for shipping + Build pallets and package boxes for shipment + Ensure accuracy of product + Print and label boxes/containers + Ensure quality of product before shipment + Read blueprints to ensure product has been completed accurately **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail + Shipping experience + Experience with larger products + Ability to read and interpret blueprints + Visual quality inspection of parts + Final prep and cleaning of product before shipment + General labor + Packaging + Inventory control **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Inventory + Picking + Packing **Why Work Here?** Our organization was recently acquired by Caterpillar, offering long-term opportunities for employees. The facility is older and split into two separate buildings. It can be loud, dirty, and hot during warm weather, and cold during the winter months. Employees will work in specific departments with a supervisor and set team. The facility includes large areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems, and efforts are being made to upgrade the facility. Steel-toed boots are required. The first shift operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $22.60 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
