What you will do We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to assist with various Warehouse tasks, including storing materials, picking, packing and scanning orders. In this position you will be preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and you must be computer literate. The Warehouse Associate will operate a forklift, overhead crane, electric pallet truck and cherry picker. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Essential Functions: + Must have good basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions. + Must be able to read measuring devices: rulers, tape measures and formulas. + Must have good mechanical aptitude: hardware sizes, plumbing fittings and general hardware. + Must be responsible in the handling and care of equipment and tools. + Must be able to talk to all levels of management and convey information effectively. + Will be required to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times. + Will be required to perform general housekeeping and orderliness of work area as required. + Must be regular in attendance and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime. + Will be required to complete miscellaneous duties as assigned. + Must be fluent in English – both spoken and written. + Will be required to complete miscellaneous duties as assigned. Non-Essential Functions: + Able to read a bill of material . + Able to drive and operate an overhead crane, forklift, cherry picker and electric pallet truck. + Familiar with computers Essential Physical Requirements: + The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. + Must have good perception, able to see details at close range and be able to distinguish between colors. + Must be able to stand 8-10 hours per day. + Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your entire body to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop and with the handling of materials. + Must be very coordinated, dexterous, have good strength (able to use both hands) and able to lift/move objects weighing up to 50lbs. + Must be able to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects. + Must have valid driver's license, able to drive an automobile and able to travel on short notice by public transportation including (i.e.: aircrafts, trains, bus, cars) domestically and internationally.
