Warehouse Associate

Louisville, KY

This position is responsible for order pulling, inventory packaging, shipping and receiving.  This position description is not intended and should not be construed to be a exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.  Incumbents may be required to perform other duties as assigned or as required by the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

Pulling parts inventory for orders.Packaging parts inventory to be shipped to the customer.Unloading merchandise being received from loading docks to stock and place into warehouse inventory.Move materials through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, reach truck, order picker).Keep work area clean and organized.Complete routine paperwork to properly document work performed.Use computers and scan guns to dispense and receive basic information that includes product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, etc.Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts.Parts and pick ticket quality inspections.Other duties as assigned; job duties subject to change without notice.Follow all safety policies.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will be considered.Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in the English language. Proven record of good attendance, safety record and productivity.Two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Computer skills preferred.Basic mathematical skills.

Working Conditions:

Ability to move parts and material up to 50lbs. in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Able to stand for long periods of time.Ability to bend and lift throughout the day, manually unloading and loading merchandise.Ability to work at heights (up to 22 ft high on cherry picker)Ability to bend and stoop repetitively.Ability to work in varying temperaturesAbility to go up and down mobile stairs on a consistent basis all day
