**Job Title: Material Handling Associate** **Job Description** The Material Handling Associate will be responsible for packaging products by skid, crate, or box to be shipped and processing standard shipping paperwork. This role also includes maintaining a clean and safe working environment, supporting assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials, and safely disposing of various packaging materials. Additionally, the associate will work with SAP to update storage bin information, perform routine inspections of material handling equipment, and operate forklifts for material movement. **Responsibilities** + Package products by skid, crate, or box for shipping and process standard shipping paperwork. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment by properly disposing and storing materials. + Support assembly with repackaging, kitting, and staging of materials. + Safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures. + Update storage bin information and identify and locate materials using SAP. + Complete routine inspections of material handling equipment. + Operate turret truck forklifts to pick orders and sit-down forklifts to move picked orders from racks to shipping. + Unload and load trucks using forklifts, visually inspect parts, and move them to receiving parts staging. + Transfer scrap materials to the unloading area and dispose of them in the dumpster. **Essential Skills** + Material handling + Shipping & receiving + Warehouse distribution + Packaging + Inventory control + Order picking + Unloading + Production + Forklift operation (sit-down and turret truck) + Previous experience with warehouse inventory and shipping systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous sit-down or stand-up forklift experience + Comfortable with heights + Experience operating a turret truck forklift + Previous shipping/receiving experience + Familiarity with bill of ladings and inventory management + Comfortable with the smell of paint and oil **Why Work Here?** Our company boasts an average employee tenure of 10-15 years, indicating a stable and supportive work environment.
