Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. This role offers comprehensive training on various metals, operating overhead cranes and sit-down forklifts, and fulfilling customer orders. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety.

ResponsibilitiesComplete a 3-4 week training program from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, covering different metals, overhead crane operations, and sit-down forklifts.Participate in team meetings at the start of each shift to understand expectations.Pull materials within the warehouse using a sit-down forklift.Measure materials to verify correct orders.Setup, program, and operate the saw to make precise cuts.Deburr, clean, and package metals after cutting.Fill and prepare customer orders for shipment.Operate heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery.Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.Essential SkillsExperience within the metal industry is a plus.Experience on a sit-down forklift is advantageous but not required; training is provided.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.Experience using overhead cranes is a plus.Proficiency in measuring and verifying materials.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience within the metals or steel industry.General labor experience including inspection, inventory, and warehouse environment.Ability to operate various heavy equipment.Why Work Here?Join a stable company with branches across the country, offering opportunities for future transfers.Enjoy working in a supportive environment with comprehensive training provided.Be part of a team that values safety and precision.Work Environment

This position is based in a non-air-conditioned warehouse, operating 24/7 with three shifts. This is a third-shift opportunity running from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am, with potential overtime. The average workweek is 40-45+ hours. You will receive two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. The dress code includes work pants, a plain-colored T-shirt, and metatarsal steel toe boots. Standard steel-toe shoes are acceptable, with an option to upgrade to metatarsal steel toe boots provided by the company upon permanent employment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr.
