Join Airgas as a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver, working under the guidance of the Branch Manager. In this role, you'll handle essential warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, cylinder handling, stocking, occasional counter sales, and a back up route driver while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and Airgas policies. As a key team member, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and supporting our customers.

TEXT "BENTON" TO 980-257-3217Warehouse / Handler OperationsStock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and suppliesPhysically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse; conduct regular inventory checksEnforce policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, reviewing invoicesOperate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipmentOrganize and oversee site warehouse inventoryStrictly observe safety rules and adhere to company policies and proceduresBackup Driver Responsibilities - Deliver compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders on a scheduled route to customersLoad and unload trucks, retrieve empty cylinders, and return them for refillingMaintain accurate vehicle documentation and a professional appearanceOrganize and control inventoried itemsAssist with inventory management, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrationsPerform back-up duties as per the branch daily checklistUtilized computer system, occasionally place and process orders via AirGas.com/SAP systemAssist customers with merchandise, load/unload cylinders as needed and occasionally lifting over 100 lbsFollow Company SOPs for distribution and safetyMaintain site cleanliness and organization________________________Are you a MATCH?

Class B or higher Commercial Driver' License with HAZMAT endorsement

One year of verifiable experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.

Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.

DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.

Able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours, work overtime if needed.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Basic phone communication skills

Assist customers with merchandise, load/unload cylinders as needed and occasionally lifting over 100 lbs

Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds

Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions are integral

Occasionally, the employee will engage in activities like climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks such as tightening ratchet binders

This role requires specific visual capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
