Warehouse Associate - Cylinder Handler (Full Time) Varennes, QC

Primary Purpose:

The Cylinder Handler performs a variety of duties related to the loading, preparation, filling, and shipping of cylinders as required.

Key Accountabilities:

Load / unload trucks confirming cylinder quantities, styles and product mix.This requires the shunting of trucks, the use of a forklift and proficiency in cylinder handling.Put away stock, count cylinder loads and warehouse housekeeping.Fill cylinders as required.Perform visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine whether re-testing and /or repairs are necessaryComplete and maintain quality control documentation per company and governmental requirements.Meet established standards for productivity and quality.

1-2 years related experience within a plant or distribution environmentForklift operation experience preferredDZ/Class 3 license preferred

Safety conscious and commitmentAbility to perform mathematical calculationsMust be dependable and accountable (attendance and punctuality)Able to manipulate a variety of cylinder sizes and weights as requiredAble to operate and cylinder filling station and analytical equipmentKnowledge of gas cylindersA team player who can work within tight deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detailGood computer skillsStrong teamwork, problem solving and organizational skillsShifts may include morning, day, night, weekends, dependent on business need
