We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. **Description** JOB DESCRIPTION: + Fulfills the Network Services warehouse function within Emory Digital division. + Reports to the Manager, Network Services Support Auxiliary and will serve in the role of procuring voice, network, and wireless equipment that support functions for all network components of Emory University, including Emory Healthcare, the schools, and administrative business units. + Provides support to the Network Services organization, which is responsible for a wide array of data ports, voice lines, and wireless access points. + Assists in the administration and support for procuring equipment for Network Services; Voice, Network, Wireless. + Works in collaboration with the University's Procurement Services department to assure adherence to the University's purchasing policies and procedures. + Interacts with suppliers to secure cost-effective, high-quality products. + Compiles and refines solicitation specifications; researches and identifies potential sources. + Assists in determining the most appropriate method of acquiring goods and/or services by examining and evaluating the unique elements of each material request, including estimating the value, determining delivery requirements, and researching sources of supply. + Accesses and employs the on-line computerized procurement system in the procurement process. Reviews and expedites purchase orders and assists in the resolution of accounts payable problems. + Tracks and monitors the status of orders to respond to customer inquiries and to resolve problems. Participates in the decision-making process of sole source procurements by evaluating and determining the validity of the requestor's documentation. + Participates in the decision-making process of sole source procurements by evaluating and determining the validity of the requestor's documentation. + Develops and professionally manages effective business relationships. + May coordinate on-site vendor product presentations. + May represent Network Services in procurement meetings and/or committees. + Coordinates delivery, receiving and RMA functions. + Coordinates preventive maintenance for Emory Digital vehicle fleet. + Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of professional procurement experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. + Experience in a university and/or academic health care environment is desired. + Excellent communication skills, with an ability to adapt approach, language and style to different audiences. + Excellent collaboration and team-building skills. + Positions within this classification require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
