Warehouse Clerk

Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying all inbound and outbound orders. Ensure that inventory entries and adjustments are reflected accurately in the warehouse management system.

Job duties:

Codes delivery manifests and prepares billing. Compiles statistical information from manifest data and prepares related report. Inputs delivery information into computer. Assists with dispatching as needed. Handles owner/operator settlement problems. Contacts vendors/customers to confirm delivery details. Checks postponements and cancellations against delivery manifest. Prepares purchase orders for signature. Answers telephones. Types correspondence for department managers. Maintains the department files. Handles all customer service needs in person or over the phone. Schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacities. Ensures accuracy of all shipping and receiving (B.O.L.) documents. May be required to perform other jobs related miscellaneous clerical duties.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED, required Warehouse procedures and operation experience, preferred Good written and verbal communication skills, preferred

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is continuously required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The Team Member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch; and raise hands/arms above shoulder level. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The Team Member must continuously lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. In the cases of oversized or heavier loads, follow two-person (or more) lift procedures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
