Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating warehouse activities including inbound, internal, and outbound warehouse processes.  The warehouse coordinator will complete, lead and monitor completion of all warehouse tasks under the guidance of the warehouse supervisor and in conjunction with the distribution clerk and inventory control coordinator.

Partner closely with the warehouse management team to ensure warehouse activities are effectively scheduled and executed.Monitor and coordinate the shipping cockpit and dock activities, specifically, the physical warehouse activities and transactions to ensure accuracy.Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow-up.Creates and releases waves and manages tasks for picking product for shipment.Manages the wave release process to be as close to just in time without the warehouse staff running out of work. Input and print pick tickets as appropriate.Assign staging areas for outbound loads.Investigate product shortages and rewaves shipments as needed.Creates STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations.Create and coordinate product put away activities.Create and coordinate replenishment tasks to ensure adequate stock in pick faces.In conjunction with the inventory control coordinator, create, assign, and complete inventory control tasks.Support inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation or distribution center environment.Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs (WMS), SAP a plus.Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate.  Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be highly organized and efficient.Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.Must have excellent mathematical skills.Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

The employee may be exposed to wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB. Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humidity), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), required in a warehouse and production environment.Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 40-pounds independently throughout the shift and/or move up to 75-lbs. with assistance as needed.The employee is regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, and production environment.Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.Physical lifting up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shift.Shift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our equipment operators are assigned to a team on a 3-shift, 24/7 operation to support manufacturing.  This can either be days, swing or night shift and also includes working weekends. Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits.

Position Responsibilities

Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.

Assist with equipment change-overs, CIP/SIP, clean-up and equipment set-up.

Product pasteurization in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

Perform department environmental controls.

Perform product reclaim and rework operations.

Support internal and external audits.

Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.

Follow all established GMP’s and Food Safety requirements.

Cross-train with other departments.

Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.

Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy.

Work together with co-workers and other department personnel.

Other duties as required by management.

$23.88 / hour
