2nd Shift Warehouse Cycle Counter

OPPORTUNITY:

Graphic Packaging International is a foodservice cup forming manufacturing operation seeking candidates to join our Clarksville, TN team.  This job posting is for a Cycle Counter position.  Minimum hourly wages begin at $18.87/hour, progressing to $20.01/hour through 12 months. 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The cycle counter is responsible for the cycle counting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

 

WORK DEVICE:

Computer hardware and software, calculator, telephone, fax machine, copier, printer, RF unit, CB radio, handheld radio, bills of lading, physical and digital files, production reports, logbooks, scales, calculation sheets, delivery orders, and all inventory reports.

 

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

High School Diploma or GED, strongly preferred but not required

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

18 years or older, required Previous warehouse cycle-counting experience, strongly preferred Previous QAD experience, strongly preferred Learns quickly, open to change, adaptable to various situations Demonstrated basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel) Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Well-developed communications and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Maintains positive team environment Demonstrated positive attitude and patience in high-stress environments/situations Demonstrated traits of respect and integrity Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and time management skills, strongly detail oriented Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills Ability to work in a fast-pace, multi-task environment Ability to follow verbal and written instruction Ability to perform the essential physical function of the position, with or without accommodation.  This includes walking or standing for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours; climbing stairs; lifting to 50 pounds; carrying to 30 pounds; lowering to 30 pounds from a height of 4 feet; pushing to 250 pounds using carts or other various tools; visual acuity and depth perception; working in various temperatures and humidity levels.

 

TRAINING PROVIDED:

On the job training provided by experienced Traceability Clerk or other qualified members of the Finance and Warehouse teams

 

SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS:

Supervision provided by the Plant Controller and various members of the Leadership Team.

 

TIME OF OPERATION: 

Standard 8-hour shift working first shift (6am-2pm); second shift (2pm-10pm).  Employee must be willing to work alternate schedules, as needed, that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekend and overtime.

 

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: 

Bay by bay cycle counting Location cycle counting Investigating and clearing negative inventory values Researching inventory variances Work within and adhere to GPI’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies by always performing duties in a safe and orderly manner; be actively engaged in all safety programs Ensure production and distribution of products are consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards Maintain 5S in assigned area by keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly Ensure accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory balances, and quantities Correct inventory when issues arise Create and distribute reports to the Leadership Team and other production departments Assist with traceability audits for the Quality Department Fulfill overtime requirements as necessary Fulfill other duties as assigned; assisting in other areas as required by changing business needs
