Warehouse Lead

Job Description:

As the Warehouse Lead at Cambria, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Orlando Distribution Center. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control and inventory management, from receiving and sorting slabs, completing slab finish work to fulfilling customer orders. You’ll also lead, train and motivate the team, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor and train warehouse team members, ensuring a positive culture is carried throughout the Distribution Center (DC) in alignment with Cambria’s values.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and ensure efficient use of DC space.

Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all slabs meet company standards.

Evaluate slabs during the pre-inspection process and perform repairs as applicable.

Detect and record slab defects and deviations from the standard (thickness, gloss, tone).

Assist in assessing design drift concerns that may have escaped plant quality

Collaborate and communicate effectively with various areas of the organization, including the plant, planning department, and business partners, to ensure seamless DC operations and inventory management. 

Perform quality job duties safely as outlined in Cambria’s Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures.

Maintain a clean operating environment, adhering to all cleaning standards.

Identify and resolve any Distribution Center operations issues promptly.

Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently; inspect the daily workflow to identify any potential hazards. 

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong working knowledge of standard warehouse systems and processes

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and technical procedures.

Proven leadership and workforce management experience.

Ability to provide clear direction to others, driving teamwork through strong interpersonal skills in both oral and written communication.

Able to multitask and prioritize workload emphasizing organizational and critical thinking skills.

Demonstrate persistent initiative with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

Strong organizational, problem solving, analytical/critical thinking skills

Must be flexible to work overtime as needed

Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED, post-secondary education or technical discipline certificate preferred

Experience: 

Three (3) years prior warehouse experience

Previous warehouse experience in a lead or supervisory role

Previous Quality Inspector experience preferred

Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle WMS and ERP

Managerial Responsibilities: Yes, lead team of Warehouse operators

Travel Requirements:  N/A

Physical Requirements:  

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment  

The US base salary range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education or training.
