Warehouse Lead
JOB OVERVIEW: The Warehouse Lead will oversee the daily operations of all Warehouse personnel located in Mesa, AZ. As production levels are set to increase across the Mesa site, the need has risen for dedicated attention to warehouse operations such as issuing parts, cycle counting and organizing of warehouses. This focus will ensure all internal and external customers will have their needs met. This is a Lead position not a manager position How you will be rewarded as our Warehouse Lead: • Competitive compensation • Monday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days (off on Fridays) • Generous paid time off and Holiday Pay • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance • 401(K), employee assistance programs, health savings account KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure Warehouses and remote storage locations are organized and clean. • Propose Obsolete material to be scrapped to Material Manager. • Create and reconcile inventory counts for responsible areas. • Communicate any major material, facility or personnel issues to Material Manager. • Support Production lines by keeping components supplied to the work cells. • Run ERP reports and scrap expired material from stores. • Ensure workers are properly trained in accordance with company SOPs, Policies, and Work Instruction. • Perform special projects assigned by Material Manager. • Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement goals. • Confirm Warehouse personnel follow all Nammo Safety protocols. • Become the SME for performing ERP inventory transactions and investigations. • Crosstrain Warehouse personnel to provide flexibility across Nammo Defense. • Support Manufacturing overtime needs when necessary. • As needed, lead daily department meetings, and assign required production work. • Lead by example, ensuring department employees follow all safety procedures • Assist with maintaining department training logs • Perform other duties as assigned SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Required: • High School diploma or GED • Ability to acquire and maintain a BATF license upon hire. • Ability to acquire a Forklift license upon hire. • Good communication skills, both oral and written. • Demonstrated dedication to Safety Procedures. • Good organizational skills to give the team direction. • Ability to read and follow instructions carefully. • Possess good interpersonal skills. • Foster a culture where all employees act and think safety • Set the standard for safety, demonstrating constant safety awareness in all actions, suggesting, and pushing continuous improvement in safety. Preferred: • Extensive experience with Costpoint ERP system. • Previous leadership experience is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: • Full-time position on-site in Mesa, AZ. • Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy. • Must be able to sit 20% of the time/stand 40% of the time/walk 40% of the time. • May move materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. **Note**: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.
