Warehouse Lead - Food Services
Overview ***This position is physically located in Jordan in support of LOGCAP*** The Warehouse Lead - Food Serviceis responsible for assisting the Food Services Supervisor in managing the inventory, receiving, storing, and organizing food products and supplies within the warehouse operation. This role ensures that products are easily accessible and properly stocked to meet the needs of food service operations. The warehouseman will also handle order fulfillment, maintain warehouse cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Receive and inspect incoming food and beverage shipments, ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications. Accurately record and document inventory levels. Stock and organize food items according to safety, health, and storage guidelines (e.g., temperature control, expiration dates). Perform regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste. Pick and pack food service orders efficiently and accurately based on customer or operational requirements. Prepare orders for delivery to restaurants, catering services, or other clients. Ensure that all products are handled and stored properly to maintain product integrity. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Ensure that shelves, freezers, and refrigerators are stocked and maintained according to safety standards. Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures for handling food products. Adhere to all safety regulations, including those related to food safety, warehouse equipment, and general workplace safety. Use warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and responsibly. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management. Work closely with other warehouse staff, drivers, and food service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about inventory needs, stock levels, and any discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, product movements, and other relevant data. Assist with audits or inspections as needed. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in a warehouse, food service, or inventory management role (preferred). Knowledge of food safety standards and warehouse operations. Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing. Be able to obtain a fork license or certification. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Host Country Driver’s License is required. Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally. ServSafe Certification or Food Service Certification approved under ANSI-CFP accredited programs and/or approved under the Tri Service Food Code guidelines. Experience: Two (2) years of Warehouse experience. Skills Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Must be able to handle multiple tasks at any given time. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. May involve working in cold storage or refrigerated areas. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
