SUMMARY   

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of warehousing, transportation, and logistics operations to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and meet the company's quality, delivery, and financial objectives. Direct domestic and international teams, including warehousing and third-party logistics providers, to optimize inbound and outbound processes and storage systems, driving consistent and optimal outcomes. You will report to the Director of Material and collaborate closely with other departments to maintain seamless operations.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient handling, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing shipments to meet customer demands and organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:  

Ensure consistent compliance with global freight and logistics regulatory requirements. Maintain and communicate the Company's Export Compliance Policy to relevant personnel. Document procedures to ensure compliance across suppliers, transportation providers, and internal operations. Accountable for all freight spend within the company, including auditing invoices and filing freight claims. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for storage, transactions, and logistics processes. Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet customer delivery requirements and financial goals. Ensure thorough and timely communication with internal teams, customers, and vendors regarding shipment processing issues. Serve as the subject expert in current ERP functionality and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize logistics processes. Align internal activities to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs, supporting around-the-clock manufacturing, transportation, and logistics needs. Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness. Monitor department expenditures and manage workload distribution for team members. Provide leadership, development, and performance management for direct reports, including training, evaluations, and recognition. Coach & develop team problem solving skills. Support compliance efforts by maintaining privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards. Proactively identify and address workplace hazards, cooperating in safety programs and initiatives. Demonstrate and promote the company's core values of Principles, Passion, and Performance. Perform any additional duties necessary to support the company's business operations. Other duties as assigned. 

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.  

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:  

Comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations, logistics, warehousing, and transportation services. Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions regarding complex import and export issues consistent with standards, policies, practices, procedures, and legal requirements. Excellent organizational, project management, problem-solving, and planning skills; high attention to detail; consistent follow through. Track record for utilizing innovative and creative problem-solving skills to address complex and/or contentious issues. Experience managing, developing, motivating, and training diverse and geographically dispersed employees. Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet, and Microsoft Office. Proven ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based on organization or department needs. Must possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:  

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training in Warehousing and Logistics Three (3) years of import/export experience preferred Extensive knowledge of US and International Customs, shipping, and logistics requirements

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES   

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.
