Warehouse Manager

The Role

We are currently looking for a Warehouse manager for our local manufacturing facility.  As a Warehouse Manager with MAPEI you will supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in preparing, verifying, and keeping records of incoming and/or outgoing shipments.   You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be involved in all aspect of the warehouse operations; shipping and receiving, managing goods, quality control, and utilizing computerize systems to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery for MAPEI’s customers.      

Responsible for availability and the on-time delivery of products to customers, including other MAPEI facilities.  Manage the warehouse operations in the plant to insure customer satisfaction through the efficient and planned storage of finished goods and materials.   Responsible for the implementation, training, and operation of an effective, accurate, and efficient system of order picking in the warehouse.  Responsible for the inventory of all materials and products in the plant and manage the Physical Inventory process.    Manage the customer backorder and late shipment reports to eliminate delays in shipping and delivery of products to the customer.  Accountable for the workforce management related to receiving, handling, storage, product rotation, picking, and shipping. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Manage the inter-company and warehouse transfer ordering and shipping process.  Responsible for the administration, updating, and continuous training of the Quality Management System for all relevant warehouse operations and personnel.    Responsible for the examination and resolution of all Service Complaint Reports related to shipping and receiving. Responsible for the cost-effective operation of the warehouse, personnel, and equipment. Ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions such as Customer Service, Production, Sales, Records control, and Purchasing. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications 

Requires a four year college degree or the equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years warehousing experience, plus 2 years supervisor experience.. You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. You should be proficient and comfortable with computers. Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills. Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
