PURPOSE: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the strategy and planning for their assigned warehouse operations as it relates to business growth, efficiency, and space utilization/planning and will provide thought leadership, execution and support our logistics roadmap.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for supporting and maintaining safety programs and policies, and educating associates about safety.Responsible for supervising the receiving, storing, issuing, inventorying, and shipping of all products and materials entering and leaving the plant.Responsible for bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine loading priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedulesResponsible for incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.Responsible for Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.Responsible for seal loaded trailer doors for specific customers.Responsible for inspecting material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel for repair.Responsible for maintenance records on all assigned vehicles.Responsible for directing movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platforms to storage and work areas.Responsible for consistently evaluating / documenting personnel performance as needed.Responsible for managing housekeeping of entire area.Responsible for supervising, overseeing and directing all warehouse employees in their daily performance of job duties as it pertains to their productivity, quality of product manufactured, housekeeping and safety.Responsible for training assignments of new associates, evaluate progress during 90-day probationary period, recommends discharge or retention.Responsible for: conducting all counseling and written warnings, suspensions and HR approved discharges for warranted violations of plant rules.Responsible for managing all department employees, including but not limited to: approve or deny vacation requests, time card verification, monitor attendance and taken disciplinary action if necessary, accident investigation and assigning daily work assignments.Responsible for ensuring that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verify all time cards of all hourly associates working on their shift.Responsible for in the event of an injury, for preparing all accidents reports by thoroughly investigating the accident.Directly supervises/manages hourly associates in the warehouse department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; andStaff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. QualificationsEDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. 5+ years of experience in warehouse management in a manufacturing environment preferred.1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role required.Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.Good hand-eye coordination is required.Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include distance, peripheral, and depth perception.Frequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.Good communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work as a cross-functional team member.SAFETY EXPECTATIONS:
