Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of Fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for directing all maintenance cycles of warehouse materials, equipment, supplies and distribution services specifically dealing with Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and GMP equipment.  This person will maintain the following job duties all while following the DEA/Controlled substance guidelines.  The warehouse manager will be reporting to Associate Director Supply Chain and Warehouse.

 

Role and Responsibilities

Support shipping, receiving and warehousing within cGMP guidelinesAuthor deviations, change controls, and standard operating procedures within company systemsCapable of performing, monitoring, and resolving all ERP/SAP transactions supporting departmentEnsure a superior level of accuracy and traceability utilizing the inventory management system • Develop and maintain metricsEnsures compliance with DOT designated hazardous materials, 49 CFR, and IATA regulationsProvide performance reviews to direct reports; counsels and disciplines under-performing employeesAuthor, approve, and implement SOPs, change controls, and non-conformancesEnsure compliance with site regulatory and cGMP guidelines as well as company policiesSupports and maintains costs to budget, rationalizing headcount for departmentInterface with 3rd party contract labor support communicating performance and hourly trackingKnowledgeable of the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR’s) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)Assist in developing warehouse budgetInvestigating and resolving problems, and identifying and implementing process improvementsResponsible for managing the training and development of personnelAssist the manager in interfacing and relationship development with support departments (QC, QA, Facilities, Development, etc.) to assure production goals are metSufficient understanding of process, systems and equipment to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions to senior managementExpert knowledge of electronic quality systemsPossesses strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Qualifications

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree required 4 – 5+ years of work experience in pilot or commercial pharmaceutical or manufacture under cGMP Minimum of 5 year previous work experience in a cGMP warehouse.Minimum 3 years prior supervisory, management or leadership experience Must have the ability to work overtime as required. Strong Warehouse Management System experience using SAP or other ERP systems Competent with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Visio helpful. Capable of training full time and temporary FTEs.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.
