Warehouse Manager
**Job Title: Warehouse Manager** **Job Description** This position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate execution of functions related to shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and other warehouse operations. The Warehouse Manager ensures that resources are in place and functioning to meet these responsibilities, while providing leadership and continuous development of the department. **Responsibilities** + Effectively manage and oversee distribution and inventory control processes. + Ensure timely and accurate receiving of delivered goods, recording movements, locations, and lot numbers when applicable. + Manage movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the facility to maintain accurate inventory information and counts. Perform cycle counts and full counts as needed. + Investigate and reconcile variances on inventoried items as they are discovered. + Process shipments timely and accurately to ensure on-time delivery to customers. + Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers. + Ensure timely and accurate recording and resolution of returns, NCP, and customer complaints. + Maintain clean and organized work areas. + Always work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety guidelines. Take action to prevent injuries and report unsafe conditions to proper personnel. + Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and other policies as outlined in the employee handbook. + Correct and stop any dangerous activities that may cause damage to the product, process, personnel, and/or environment. + Oversee 5-10 employees, including supervisors, leads, and warehouse employees. **Essential Skills** + Three years or more working in a shipping/receiving/warehouse environment or experience managing projects and personnel. + Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills. + Display courtesy and tact when dealing with others. + Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while dealing with interruptions. + Ability to plan and organize resources to meet departmental and company goals. + Attention to detail and accuracy. + Good mathematical skills and the ability to negotiate. + Self-motivated with the ability and willingness to learn and teach. + Willingness to put forth the effort and time required for completion of projects and responsibilities. + Technically savvy with computer systems and software, demonstrating comprehension and proper execution. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree or higher preferred. + Experience in logistics, inventory, warehouse management, supervision, shipping and receiving, supply chain, warehouse operation. + Proficiency in customer interactions, forklift operations, warehouse inventory, inventory control, and SAP. **Why Work Here?** We offer direct hire opportunities with comprehensive benefits and a 401K plan. Attention to detail, good attendance, and punctuality are critical. The role involves extended periods of standing, using computers and other communication devices, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing step ladders, and operating material handling equipment. Occasional heavy lifting may be required. Maintaining effective working relationships and working in a team environment are essential. Focus on safety and housekeeping is a must. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Paola, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
