Warehouse Material Handler
Amentum is seeking a Material Handler to join our team located near Kemmerer, WY! Location: 33 MI NE OF Kemmerer RT 86, Kemmerer, WY 83101. The Shute Creek Natural Gas facility is the second largest producer of helium in the world, receiving gas from a gathering field in Sublette County, Wyoming with composition of 66% CO, 21% Methane, 7% Nitrogen, 5% H2S, and 0.6% Helium. The facility has undergone many capacity increases over the years with a current process capability to carbon capture more than 365MMcfd of CO2, and total processing capacity of more than 385MMcfd. + Typical work schedules: Mon - Fri; 7am - 4pm, Mon - Thu; 6am - 4pm or Fri - Sun; 6am - 6pm + Hours may vary based on business demand and requests for schedule changes at times are requested. + Additional hours may be requested to support the 24/7 operation + The warehouse material handler will likely perform shipping & receiving functions, warehouse pick & pull activities, cycle counting, bin to bin transfers, space optimization projects, continuous learning and safety inspections and numerous other support functions. **Responsibilities:** + The warehouse staff ensures coordinated workloads are prepared based on facility priorities. + Oversees and recommends maintenance and repairs to facility. + Supervises scheduling maintenance and repairing company vehicles and equipment in accordance with procedures and requirements. + Supervises warehouse operations including acceptance, storage, maintenance, inventory, and release of all merchandise and property within the facility. + Assists in sales activity as required. + Ensures proper storage of General Order merchandise and seized property stored at the Sales Center. + Implements and monitors daily and month-end reporting of material, facility security, fire prevention, and space utilization reports. + Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. + Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends. **Minimum Requirements:** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of warehouse experience, training, or combination of. + Must be able to maintain a valid Driver's license within three days of employment. **Additional Information:** + Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. **Physical Requirements:** + Requires the ability to regularly lifting to 50 lbs. + Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift. + Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift. + Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift. + Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift. + Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift. + Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift. + Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife. + Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding. + Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement. + Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress. + Working knowledge of hazardous materials controls, regulations, and declaration shipping procedures. + Working knowledge of warehouse distribution principles and techniques. + Working knowledge of logistics/supply procedures. + Good interpersonal skills with an ability to lead, coach, and manage others. **Special Requirements** + Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. + Cope with demands/stressors associated with the job and/or work environment to achieve acceptable levels of performance.
