The Warehouse Operations Supervisor leads and manages warehouse activities within the service center. This includes oversight to safety, quality, engagement, and overall performance to the companies aligned KPI's. As an Operations Supervisor, you will have the leadership opportunity to coach, develop, motivate, and mentor an operational team.This person will be a key leader within the regional fulfillment team and will report up to the Service Center Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for managing and leading a team to execute the responsibilities as noted above.
This position is located at our Grand Prairie, TX Service Center. Operational Excellence:Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and timely inbound processes.Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.Implement best practices to maximize productivity in receiving and handling incoming shipments.Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve distribution center performance.
Inventory Control:Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels.Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.Utilize technology and systems to track and manage inventory effectively.
Quality Assurance:Establish and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues.Conduct regular inspections and implement measures to improve overall product quality.
Policy Adherence:Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.Uphold safety and compliance standards.
People Leadership:Lead and inspire a team of distribution center staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Provide coaching, feedback, and training to team members to enhance performance and skill development.Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
Safety Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the distribution center.Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members.Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Culture Building:Cultivate a positive organizational culture.Encourage teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.
