Job Title:   Warehouse Operations                                                    Location:  Fairfield

Reports To:   Location Manager                                                        Status:  Non-Exempt

 

Salary Range: $17.50 - $20.75

 

Position Overview

 

Under the direction of the Location Manager, responsible for operations of warehouse performing deliveries, inventory control, housekeeping, and customer service along with assisting clerical and accounting/billing duties.

 

Essential Job Functions

  

Oversee all customer traffic through the warehouse. Greets customers entering office and assists or directs as needed. Answers telephone in a professional manner taking orders and relays calls or messages to fellow employees. Manage inventory, protect from damage, and ensure proper paperwork documenting in and out of warehouse. Complete monthly inventory and weekly spot checks: communicates and assist with product to be ordered. Develops plans for efficient inventory control on all warehouse products. Develop a general knowledge of all products in the warehouse. Make or coordinate deliveries. Keep both the seed/feed and seed treatment warehouse clean and orderly. Load and bill feed items for VAHC Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of shipment for both Wabash Valley and VAHC. Monitor inventory for current seasonal and daily needs. Must be able to operate forklift safely and correctly for loading and unloading warehouse products. Utilizes Agvance software to complete purchase orders, sales tickets, and charge slips, to compile needed data and transmit to the main office. Enters information into computer utilizing Agvance, Excel, Word and Outlook as needed. Prepares credit memorandums to indicate returned or incorrectly billed merchandise. Prepares credit forms for customers. Assist in taking payments and bank deposits and balancing with audit trail. Required to cross-train and substitute for other office positions. Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

Other Job Functions

 

Maybe required to run local errands. Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements

 

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a polite personality, good phone etiquette and be able to take messages accurately. Understanding and experience with the reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, inventory, internal controls, petty cash, and billing. Demonstrate ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proven professional communication and customer service skills. Proven computer and “attention to detail” skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes. Must be able to efficiently run computer programs such as Agvance billing, FBS, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a minimum of a class C CDL.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
