This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms. 

 

The role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will be joining a new team helping to effectively perform stores duties across all sections onsite for the MEH Alliance.

 

Day-to-day, you will report to the Supply Manager / Supervisor SCAS and be expected to perform general stores duties across all sections, as required.

Receipt, management, issue and dispatch of material, to meet customer requirements. Loading/off-loading freight from national freight provider and driving duties for on base distribution.  Stock taking and inspection of stock. Operation of log IS/Babcock Systems. Support Shift working arrangements as agreed with General Manager. 

 

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.

 

This role is full time, 38 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.


Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:

Able to undertake manual tasks. Computer literate and general paperwork skills with good attention to detail. Organised worker with people skills. Pro-active yet able to work within strict regulations.  Willing to accept further responsibilities and training (some may be off-site) 

 
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:

Dangerous Goods Awareness (Transport and Storage)  Pristine Manual Handling  Spill Awareness Training for Minor and Moderate Spills  Trade Controls Practitioner Training CCNSG Safety Passport  


Security Clearance
