Warehouse Operator

Job Purpose and Impact


The Forklift Operator will operate and drive industrial forklifts requiring moderate skills and regular guidance. In this role, you will ensure material handling and storage procedures are followed to meet all safety and regulatory policies.

Principal Accountabilities:

Operating forklifts, palletizer, stretch wrapper and all associated equipment to produce quality productOperate storage equipment and all associated equipment to store and retrieve productTroubleshoot equipment failures and perform minor maintenance on this equipmentPut Trash/Cardboard away (dispose in trash compactor/carboard bailer)Correctly receive and ship product in accordance with ordersPerform elevated work to retrieve stuck pallets or equipment in racksPerform periodic inventories as necessary with the support of office personnel to maintain accurate warehouse countsUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employerCargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facilityAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipmentAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Basic computer skillsAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticeAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)


Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experienceExperience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Excel and WordWorking knowledge of inventory systemsPrior experience in production/related work
