Warehouse Operator - Pryor, OK

Employees in positions allocated to this series work in the Logistics and Distribution areas of the Supply Chain

Job Overview:

Employees in positions at this level of the series are responsible for completing all necessary tasks required to perform safe storage of product and ingredient inventory and to ship and receive product inventory into and out of the Company’s warehouses.

Work Schedule: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, 5 days per week.

Weekend Shift Saturday and Sunday in addition to Monday and Tuesday Or Thursday and Friday 8am-6:30pm

Shift work, as well as weekends, holidays are required.

PPE:

Steel-toed safety shoes, gloves as needed and required, safety glasses, and other PPE as assigned and required.

Essential Job Duties & Accountabilities:

Typical duties of the job include, but are not limited to:
1.    Communicate clearly in English both verbally and written
2.    Wear appropriate required safety gear
3.    Attend shifts as assigned regularly and reliably
4.    Work overtime as scheduled or directed
5.    Operate computers to access/utilize company e-mail, procedures and to inspect equipment
6.    Demonstrate awareness of/compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures
7.    Maintain a clean and organized work environment to maintain food grade status.
8.    Operate powered industrial truck in a safe manner to move product
9.    Operating and locking out equipment (i.e. automatic and semi-automatic stretchwrapper and inverter)
10.    Participate in work related training programs including qualification assessments and adhere to Company Core Values 
11.    Report pertinent information to appropriate company personnel 
12.    Prepare products for shipment
a.    Validate accuracy and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments 
b.    Prep and repair conveyances for loading and unloading
c.    Hand stacking of product onto pallets to maximize total container cubic footage.
d.    Preparing orders per work instructions, which may mean special labeling (by hand), wrapping, repalletization and protection of the product.
e.    Determine routing and legal load limits of trucks based on state guidelines
13.    Inspect physical condition of product, warehouse and equipment 
14.    Carry out shipping priorities determined by shipping notices, bills of loading, invoices, orders and other records
15.    Carry out work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules 
16.    Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
17.    Loading and unloading conveyances utilizing fork trucks and by human hand.
18.    Inspecting incoming materials for completeness and quality
19.    Picking product from storage areas and placing it in load staging utilizing Turret and Fork Lifts.
20.    Properly posting of inventory data into SAP and other inventory data base systems and properly recording this information onto Solae’s documentation forms. 
21.    Work as part of an empowered Logistical team striving to exceed customer expectations by utilizing their efforts and the efforts of their team members and Solae resources to their fullest
22.    Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, Sanitation, and Pest Control. 
23.    Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:    
Education/Training Requirements:    
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent or 3 years of Warehouse Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

1) Ability to drive forklifts and lift 50 lbs above head continuous for up to eight hours per day.

2) Skill in counting and recording inventory into manual and electronic data bases

Additional Competencies and Experience Desired Competencies:
1) Certification in Forklift driving
2) Knowledge of products and General Maintenance Practice’s for storage of food grade inventories 

Working/Environmental Conditions:    
1) Warehouse production environment.

2) Work around moving mechanical parts and mobile equipment.  

3) Vibration may be present during operation of forklift.
