**Purpose and Scope:** Support warehousing requirements on a military installation. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). **Essential Responsibilities:** + Receive material, to include maintaining and monitoring stock levels, managing holding areas, managing residual storage. + Maintain a bench stock for needed items for emergency work, PM, and highly consumable items to increase material availability and decrease material lead time and airlift requirements. + Prepare inventory and requisitions stock as needed. + Perform a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. + Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. + Route materials to prescribed storage locations. + Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. + Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials. + Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage. + Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment. + May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. + Other duties as required. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + Minimum 1 year warehouse experience with similar duties. + Forklift certification a must. + High school diploma or equivalent training & experience. + Ability to read and write English is required. + Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills. + Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment. + Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN). + Possess a valid driver’s license, passport from their country have ability to obtain a work visa. + Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies. + Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds. + Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs. + Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. + May be required to handle hazardous materials. + Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment. + Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
