Job Summary:
Warehouse Operators are responsible for receiving, moving, picking and shipping product throughout our warehouse and integration operations. Responsibilities include operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) inside and around racking systems, applying and scanning labels to endure product is properly tracked, ensuring all product is safely and securely loaded or stored. The position reports to a Warehouse Supervisor. This position works in a fast-paced environment, operates handheld scanning equipment, operates various Powered Industrial Trucks, follows processes and is a team player.
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates an understanding of safety and best practices while operating equipment such as Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Crane or Box Truck Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvement are needed within own work area. Applies new ideas or approaches to own work to enhance outputs. Uses established tools and techniques to track progress related to implementing process improvements. Learns and supports the processes of receiving, shipping and warehousing materials Collects information to understand problems and identify their origin. Researches events and known solutions for basic or routine problems. Implements prescribed steps and ensures effective resolution, escalating troubleshooting if needed. Demonstrates attention during discussions by taking notes and asking clarifying questions. Demonstrates awareness of non-verbal behavior/cues (i.e., body language) when listening and communicating. Restates and reflects back information to check for understanding. Works with supervisors to set goals and priorities for individual work and manages time efficiently to accomplish goals. Remains focused without becoming sidetracked by non-urgent or less important tasks or interruptions. Demonstrates punctuality and reliability in meeting individual deadlines, complete tasks in a timely manner. Complies with and promote safety guidelines Promotes a clean and organized (5S) warehouse operation.
