Warehouse Manager (50% part-time)

Manages and coordinates all activities as they relate to the Warehouse activities at Wyman Gordon.  Responsibilities include the receiving, warehousing and shipping of MRO, VMI, Rotable and Repairs Inventory and Consigned Inventory.  Job requirements also include ensuring that all material is handled in a safe and efficient manner that meets Manufacturing Practices/Policies.  Is a key member of the purchasing team and works with Maintenance and Operations groups to ensure support. 

Responsibilities:

Direct warehousing and deployment activities to assist in meeting the warehouse objectives, which include safety, quality, and costs.Maintain accurate inventory and receiving/shipping records while administering the execution of just in time delivery and inventory control system.Works with purchasing, maintenance, and finance with the identification of obsolete inventory and works with all parties to remove.Continually strive to optimize space and location requirements.Work with purchasing and suppliers to solve any issues.Coordinate activities of interfacing groups to provide a good working relationship with all other departments internal and external to the facility, such as Maintenance, Quality, Transportation, Human Resources and Accounting.Assure that all work areas are maintained in a satisfactory sanitary condition in compliance with all Customer, State and Federal regulations.Directly supervise and coordinate administrative support personnel to maintain operational reports necessary for the effective measurements of the department for use in improving efficiency and cost reduction; directly supervise 1 warehouse associate.Develop and implement team problem-solving/decision making concepts.Assure that good inventory control practices are observed and that “Cycle Counting” is maintained within the scope of the procedures.Other duties as assigned.

Scrap Sales / Revert Manager (50% part-time)

 

Wyman Gordon Forgings is a leading provider of scrap metal to melters.   We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrap Sales Manager to join our team and drive our sales efforts.

 

 

The Scrap Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the company's scrap metal sales operations. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient and profitable sale of scrap materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the scrap metal industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and profitability goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the scrap metal market. Execute auctions to sell scrap material not needed by melters. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure competitive and profitable sales. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of scrap materials. Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts for senior management and B2B suppliers. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.Directly supervise and coordinate administrative support personnel to maintain operational reports necessary for the effective measurements of the department for use in improving efficiency and cost reduction; directly supervise 1 scrap associate.

Minimum Requirements:
