Our client, a food supply chain company is looking to hire a Warehouse Shipping Associate for their location in San Clemente, CA. The ideal candidate would need at least a minimum of 6 months of previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations. Responsibilities for this position will include processing and fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently using shipping software and equipment which includes staging, fulfillment, order allocation, loading, and label & documentation accuracy.

The Day-to-Day:

Package and or prepare products on pallets according to company standards, ensuring proper labeling and handling to prevent damage during transit.Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, conducting regular counts, and reporting discrepancies.Perform quality checks on products before shipment to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations.Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve any delivery issues or delays.Assist Supervisor in maintaining established pre-shipment inspection programs to prevent incorrect stock shipments.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with shipping regulations which include Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, Quality, and Food Safety Systems.Maintain thorough and accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, invoices, and shipping manifests.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaA minimum of 6 months of previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred.Basic math skills required (counting, multiplication, conversions, fractions).Demonstrated skills with industrial-powered equipment required (for example, forklift, scissor lift, electric pallet jack, reach truck, etc.).Ability to tolerate short periods of exposure to freezer temperatures.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Applicable working experience in a food manufacturing setting.An understanding of perishable food shipping.An understanding of ERP software is preferred (SAP experience is a plus).
