Our client, a large food manufacturing company in San Clemente is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their team. The Shipping Technician will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipping of products to customers and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and fulfill customer orders accurately using shipping software and equipment, including staging, fulfillment, order allocation, loading, and ensuring label and documentation accuracy.Package and prepare products on pallets according to company standards, ensuring proper labeling and safe handling to prevent damage during transit.Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies.Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve any delivery issues or delays.Assist the Supervisor in maintaining pre-shipment inspection programs to ensure correct stock shipments.Adhere to all FreshRealm safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with shipping regulations such as Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, Quality, and Food Safety Systems.Maintain thorough and accurate records of shipments, including packing lists, invoices, and shipping manifests.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).At least 6 months of previous experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations (preferred).Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).Good computer skills, with the ability to work with shipping software and basic programs.Basic math skills, including counting, multiplication, conversions, and fractions.Experience operating industrial powered equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, etc.Ability to tolerate short periods of exposure to freezer temperatures.Previous experience in a food manufacturing setting (preferred).Understanding of perishable food shipping requirements.Experience with ERP software, particularly SAP, is a plus.
