Warehouse Specialist
Under general direction, this position is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate movement of finished goods, packaging and other materials to and from the warehouse. Includes competence in all of the following: supporting needs of the packaging floor, storing product, paperwork and computer entry, and loading product onto and off of trucks and rail cars for shipment and receipt. This position specializes in identifying problems or bottlenecks in production and warehousing processes and resolves issues. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business with a focus in SAP inventory management. Preferred 3+ years related experience. **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** MO Excelsior Springs **Job Type:** Production Group **Job Posting Title:** Warehouse Specialist **Job Description:** **Schedule:** Monday through Friday **Hours:** 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. **Work Location:** 1000 Italian Way, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024 **Benefits** : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness. **Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** $21.00 per hour, plus $1.00 Shift Differential. **Responsibilities:** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Operation of a forklift truck with various attachments to move palletized and unpalletized products and materials. + Loading and unloading of finished goods and packaging materials from trucks of various sizes and configurations. + Competence in all the required support functions for the packaging floor including: + Appropriate boxes, cartons, film, totes, etc. provided at the proper time in the proper place. + Removal of unused materials and waste/scrap materials. + Movement of regrind materials to support the regrind operations. + Maintenance of sanitation standards at all times. + Competence in using the relevant computer screens and reports, knowledge to enter information quickly and very accurately, and knowledge to run reports, print documents, etc. + This includes investigating material deviations in SAP, cycle counting, and fixing incorrect data in the system + Communicate routinely with a professional manner with associates to assure that all understand the day’s production schedule, key issues, and challenges + Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues + Assure daily documentation, analysis and trending of data regarding production, waste, maintenance issues, safety issues. + Exudes a high degree of inter-personal skills and has the ability to work well with everyone **QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:** + At least 3 years of production manufacturing/warehousing experience preferred, food manufacturing preferred + Working knowledge of warehouse management and ERP systems. + Working knowledge of production equipment and systems. + Working knowledge of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF or BRC and environmental and safety regulations preferred. + Competency in English language (read, write, speak); excellent written, oral, and listening skills. + Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook + Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide combined with analytical skills used to track and trend data and be able to use that data to guide decisions and communications with associates + Ability to effectively present information to top management + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
