**Job Description**
As a Warehouse Specialist II, you will be responsible for managing daily activities related to the storing, handling, and shipping of all finished goods for domestic and international shipments. You will serve as a point of contact for delivery drivers picking up outbound shipments. This position operates on a day shift from
**Responsibilities**
+ Locate, check, and verify the accuracy of the product being packaged and shipped to nationwide and worldwide destinations.
+ Coordinate and communicate with transportation companies regarding the movement and transportation of goods to ensure efficient shipping and clearance.
+ Create and manage shipping documentation including specific export documents and unique customer requirements such as letters of credit, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of conformance.
+ Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and delivery carts.
+ Participate in year-end physical inventory and monthly cycle counts.
+ Move inventory by scheduling materials to and from various company warehouses and coordinate inventory transfers with related departments.
+ Break down boxes and remove packaging waste from stocking and shipping activities.
+ Count, sort, and put materials in packages, and assemble various boxes for final products.
+ Accurately transact shipments on the computer and using various shipping software, prepare waybills and other shipping documents.
+ Work with Customer Support to resolve discrepancies that arise during the shipping process.
+ Monitor inventory levels of all shipping supplies and work with purchasing to order the correct amounts of these supplies.
+ Track and follow up on shipments ensuring clients, departments, and other required parties are kept fully informed of transport arrangements and status on a regular basis from departure to arrival of goods.
+ Enter tracking and AWB# information into the SAP computer system.
+ Review email instructions and sales order remarks for various customer transportation requirements.
+ Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and shipping areas.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2 years of shipping/logistics related experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
+ Knowledge of basic inventory control procedures and computerized shipping/inventory systems.
+ Experience shipping via UPS and/or Fed-Ex.
+ Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate.
+ Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a vehicle to support the operational needs of the department.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ International export shipping experience is highly desirable.
+ Experience in an FDA regulated medical device company is desired.
+ SAP experience is a plus.
+ Certified Forklift operation preferred.
**Work Environment**
Most work is performed in a typical warehouse environment, which can get noisy. The environment includes power lift equipment, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment. You will be required to operate a personal computer, photocopy machine, facsimile machine, calculator, and telephone. The noise level is usually low to moderate. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs, which can be repetitive. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. You will be handling products such as cables, plastic parts, and cardboard.

This is a Contract position based out of Dublin, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.56 - $27.56/hr.
